The winemaking at Woodenhead is pure and simple or, if you will, Burgundian done California-style. Our wine is handcrafted from a hard labor of love in tune to the natural rhythm of the land, the water, the air, and the seasons. No mechanical pumping is employed. Inoculated yeast and malolactic cultures, hand punching, basket pressing, French oak, and California fruit is what you get. Small and unique lots are our goal, ultra premium wine is the result.

What's New  

With fall rolling in we have released some new great 2011 wines! Stop in to taste our 2011 Russian River Pinot Noir and our delectable 2011 Cinder Cone Pinot Noir. For our Zinfandel lovers, we have a new 2011 Leras Ranch Zinfandel and a 2011 Guido Venturi Zinfandel! And don't forget our 2011 Wet Kiss, which won a Silver Medal at the Harvest Fair!

The SYRAH is back! Come in and try our 2012 Syrah from the Dolinsek Ranch of Russian River Valley! Delicious!

Winter WINEland is just around the corner! It's a great weekend to get out and taste some wines after the holidays! Follow the Wine Road and come on down to Woodenhead either January 17th or 18th. Stop in at our Tasting Room! Tasting room hours are Thursday through Monday, 10:30 to 4:30. The address is 5700 River Road, Santa Rosa, located one mile west of Slusser. There is a nominal tasting fee.
