2023 Fall Release
Our 2018 vintage was harvested in a drought year. As a growing season, it was long, extended and mild. No fires and no prolonged heat spikes made for a steady, smooth harvest, with the wine displaying great concentration and an ample backbone for aging.
Because the tannins were a little more pronounced due to the drought, the berries were smaller and the skin ratio higher. I kept these wines back; now they are all drinking beautifully! A little patience on our part, and you, our customers, benefit. Pull a cork and pour yourselves a glass of Woodenhead excellence!
